What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy applies hypnosis techniques. The techniques provide levels of relaxation that calm the conscious mind in order to access the subconscious mind. This allows Joyce, as a skilled hypnotherapist, to communicate and guide you through your session.
It accesses the natural state between wakefulness and sleep, similar to a daydream. Its a state of being you are in daily, without even knowing it. For example, when you reach a driving destination without conscious recall of how you arrived, you experience a type of hypnosis called highway hypnosis.
Hypnosis uses the power of the mind, in cooperation with the body, emotions, and spirit for new habits, recovery and health. It works by removing emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental blocks in your way, whether they are conscious or unconscious.
Joyce views blocks as negative energy forms that penetrate your beliefs, behaviors, and body. These negative or detrimental energies can be transformed or removed. This process is similar to removing a car part that no longer works, and replacing it with a new functioning part. Once blocks are removed, Joyce skillfully lays down positive suggestions created by the you into your subconscious. The subconscious mind welcomes positive suggestions and thus, forward movement. You transform easily into new beliefs and behaviors.
